KES Old Boys November Reunion Weekend a great success!
9 November 2015On the, 6 November the corridors of King Edward VII School ‘WELCOMED HOME’ , the Classes of 1955, 1965, 1975, 1979, 1980 and 1985 for their Class Reunions.
Old Boys celebrating their 60th, 50th, 40th, 36th, 35th and 30th reunions gathered at the School for a special School Assembly on the 6th. An Assembly address by the Head Boy of 1965, Douglas Wilson, was warmly received by the School, Staff and Old Boys. That Assembly was then followed by the King Edward Association Golf Day at the Royal Johannesburg & Kensington Golf Club.
Saturday evening saw the reunion groups each meet and celebrate at various venues for their reunion dinners. We won’t publish ‘how late those groups partied for’, but have it in good faith, a wonderful time was held by all the groups!
Sunday, 8 November saw our Reunion groups join the School and Community in our Annual Remembrance Parade and Service at King Edward VII School.
It was a memorable weekend for all and a true celebration of our Schools rich tradition and history.
Well done and ‘thank you’ to all, especially Ms Derron Van Eeden who co-ordinated this weekend for all our Old Boys.
Go School.
