KES Old Boy signed to Barnoldswick Cricket Club for 2015!
12 November 2014King Edward VII School Old Boy, Kyle Marshall (Class of 2007) has been signed by Barnoldswick Cricket Club for 2015. Kyle was a member of the King Edward 1st XI.
Reported on the Club’s website:
BARNOLDSWICK have moved swiftly to secure the services of Easterns’ seam bowling all-rounder Kyle Marshall for 2015.
Marshall (24) is an explosive seam bowling all-rounder who has featured for Easterns in 29 domestic matches since his first-class and list-A debut’s in February 2011.
A genuine match-winner, Marshall opens the bowling and bats middle-lower order at provincial level for Easterns, but bats higher in the order at club level.
To date, the former King Edwards student has taken 29 wickets at 28.03 in first-class cricket. He boasts best bowling figures of 7-52 (17.2) against a star-studded Western Province side that included the likes of Richard Levi, Alistair Gray, Pieter Malan, SA Engelbrecht and Bradley Barnes.
With the bat, whilst he only averages 13.19 and 17.16 in first-class and list-A respectively, this in the main has been due to limited opportunities that said, he does boast highest scores of 47 (FC) and 50 (List-A) at provincial level.
It will be Marshall’s first season as a professional in the UK and he’s eager to impress and help the Ribblesdale club to success next summer.
