Quinton secures ‘Man of Match’ & ‘Man of Series’ Awards!

King Edward VII School Old Boy, Quinton De Kock sealed off a wonderfully successful ODI Series in Zimbabwe, being awarded the ‘Man-of-the Match’ and ‘Man-of-the Series’ awards.

According to CSA website, Quinton noted the following on his recent vein of form:

Castle Lager Proteas batsman, Quinton de Kock, has revealed his simple recipe for success following his Man-of-the-series award in the three-match One-Day International (ODI) series against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo. De Kock was the leading run-scorer of the series with 185 runs at an average of 61.66.
” I’m not one for planning,” he said of his strategy against opponents. ” There are a few guys in the team that like to sit down and watch videos of the opposition. I like to hit a few balls in the nets and take it from there on the day.”
The 21 year-old equaled the world record for the fastest player to score 1000 ODI runs during the series, and admits he is not phased by the accolades and records.
” It doesn’t interest me,” he said of the milestones and records he has broken. ” Its more something for the fans to keep them interested. Some of the players do enjoy stats but I’m very chilled about it.”

Congrats Quinton and much success into the upcoming Test Series.
