King Edward VII School Old Boy and one of the finest REDS players to date Joe Van Niekerk, led his team Toulon to Heineken Cup glory on Saturday 18 May! Captain Van Niekerk with an inform Jonny Wilkinson inspired Toulon to a 16-15 victory over Clermont Auvergne at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin. Wilkinson kicked three penalties and landed the decisive conversion to Delon Armitage’s try as Toulon rallied from 15-6 down to clinch their first major trophy in over two decades. Toulon players were in tears at the Aviva Stadium in securing this victory.
