Old boy Neil McKenzie (class of 1994) has been appointed South Africa’s “high performance batting lead” and will work across the men’s, women’s, Under-19 and academy structures.

South African Mens Indoor Hockey

Congratulations to old boy Gerald Mpopo (Class of 2010) for making the South African Mens Indoor Hockey side last week.
The squad will attend camps and will be used to select the final African Qualifier side later this year. The African Indoor Hockey Cup of Nations will take place in South Africa this year with the current date under review due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The squads were selected based on performances at the recently completed Indoor Hockey IPT in KwaZulu Natal on making the squad for the Indoor World Cup Qualifier.

Quinton de Kock – Fastest to 200 Test Dismissals

Congratulations to Quinton de Kock (Class of 2011) becomes fastest to 200 Test dismissals.

Playing in his 47th Test, he became the quickest to 200 Test dismissals, achieving the feat in one match less than Australia great, Adam Gilchrist.

De Kock also became only the second South African to reach the milestone, emulating Proteas head coach Mark Boucher, who tops the overall list of most dismissals by a wicket-keeper.

Triple Jumper Heads to All African Games

KES Old Boy and current athletics coach at School, Menzi Mthembu (Class of 2013) has qualified and been selected for triple jump in the 2019 All African Games Athletics Squad in Rabat and Casablanca, Morocco from 19-31 August.

Cricketer Tony de Zori to Face Sri Lanka

KES Tony de Zorzi, class of 2014, has been named in the South Africa Emerging Squad to face Sri Lanka in the upcoming series from 29 June – 28 July.

The matches will be played in Pretoria and Potchefstroom.

Keagan Glade Selected for Junior Springbok World Rugby U20 Championship Squad

Congratulations to old boy Keagan Glade (played REDS prop 2017) for being included in the Junior Springbok World Rugby U20 Championship squad!

Keagan replaced injured Hanro Jacobs, whose tournament dreams were shattered due to a foot injury.
