De Kock reaches 1000 ODI runs in record time!

King Edward VII School Old Boy and Protea batsman/keeper reached another cricketing milestone during the South African vs Zimbabwe Tour on 19 August 2014. 

Quinton needed just 37 runs to reach his 1000 ODI runs and he scored 38 to secure this milestone. Quinton is now  the 4th player to reach 1 000 ODI runs in only 21 innings.

Congratulations Quinton who has now equalled the world record of taking the fewest number of innings to reach 1 000 ODI runs. Quinton joins the ranks of players such as Sir Viv Richards, Kevin Pietersen & Johnathan Trott in becoming the fastest to 1000 career ODI runs.
