Famous Old Boys Dr Bacher & Bryan Habana at KES!
31 January 2013King Edward VII School was a-buzz on the 31 January, when two famous and legends in their own rights returned to their alma mater and addressed the school in a very special assembly. Dr Ali Bacher (Class of 1959) and Bryan Habana (Class of 2000) returned to King Edward to record an interview session, ‘In Conversation’, where-by Old Boy Ali Bacher interviews famous sportsmen of South Africa. Before that though both took time out of their busy schedules to address the Staff and boys in an assembly.
Dr Bacher fondly recalled his days at King Edward as been very instrumental in how his career panned out and he paid tribute to the great teachers of King Edward during his time at the school. Dr Bacher further reminded the boys about the importance of being leaders at school and in society and to always conduct themselves in a respectable manner.
Bryan Habana inspired the boys to ‘seize every day’ and to their best in all that they do- in academics and on and off the sports field. He expressed his passion about how much he valued and appreciated the privilege to have played for the crest of King Edward.
It was indeed a memorable moment for all the boys and Staff at King Edward. It is always a honour to have our Old Boys visiting us and sharing their successes with us.
