KES Old Boy Ryan Corns taking wickets for the USA!
30 July 2013King Edward VII School Old Boy, Ryan Corns( Class of 2008) is showing his class for both the USA and on the English County circuit. When Ryan left King Edward he pursued his academic studies in Houston, Texas. Inquiring about the game of cricket in the USA, he was picked for a local club side in Houston and later selected for a combined Central West state team. In 2009 he was selected for the USA under 19 team which competed in the under 19 World Cup in New Zealand in 2010. Ryan was then selected to the USA men’s team in December 2011 and has since represented the country in various tournaments around the globe.
Over the past couple of months, Ryan has been playing premier league cricket for Winchmore Hill Cricket Club in the Middlesex premier league in England. Recently he was selected to represent the USA in ‘The Auty Cup’ against Canada in Toronto. Over the past weekend, where he excelled in the 2 day game, taking 3 wickets for 21 runs in 19 overs. He plans to finish his degree in mid 2014 and pursue his cricketing career further, albeit in England or Australia.
Good to hear of another King Edward son doing so well and pursuing his dreams and working hard on improving his talents and skills.
