KES wear blue gloves in support of Stroke Survivors!
30 October 2017Red Community Cares: Annual Stroke Awareness Campaign took place at King Edward VII School on Monday 30 October, in support of World Stroke Day held on 29 October 2017.
At a Monday Assembly on the 30th, our School and Staff stood in support of the Stroke Survivors Foundation by wearing a blue glove on their dominant hand, to create an awareness how difficult it is for a stroke survivor to go about their daily business with only the use of one hand.
George Scola a KES Old Boy and stroke survivor from a stroke in 2008 addressed the School on the symptoms/signs to look out for and chatted about the SSF work and awareness campaign.
Thank you to KESCO, Mrs Mania and Headmaster Mr Lovatt who encouraged KES to be involved in this project. Well done to all of the King Edward community who eagerly got involved in supporting this campaign.
Strenue. Go School.
