Celebration of Excellence at King Edward VII School
Derby Day lived up to all expectations between KES and St John’s and especially the main game between the 1st XV was a spectacle of running rugby from the Red Machine. REDS showed great class and finished the last home game in style, with a 59-10 victory over the ‘old rivals’, St John’s College. Our 1st XI Hockey also fought a tough battle against a very strong St John’s outfit. KES held onto a 1-0 win, rewarding the Red Army who came out in numbers to support our boys.
Earlier in the morning from 09h00- 11h00, our Annual Polar Bear Swim took place at the King Edward pool. There was a good amount of support by some very ‘brave’ Old Boys, parents and boys. The pool temp was a mere 11 degrees celius! It was yet another wonderful event showing the ‘Spirit of King Edward’ by it’s community. Close to R8500-00 was raised towards the Aquatics Centre Project.
Red Thanks to ALL who came out to support this event!
Thank you to ALL of our Red Army who came out to support, help, braai, serve, and cheer on our School at our last home of 2016. The Spirit of KES is simply the best. Pride, Passion and Tradition the hallmarks of a supporting and superb community. We salute you ‘one and all’.

TILL 2017… GO SCHOOL.
